Kolimbri Podcast, Interconnectedness and Relational Being

cicada

In this podcast on Interconnectness and Relational Being, Marcos speaks to Jon Freeman, Director at Future Considerations, Personal and Organisational Developtment Consultant, Mentor and Trainer.

Jon is the author of several books. In this podcast he refers in his dialogue with Marcos to his thinking and research into how all things are connected. Jon draws from his latest thinking on ‘Relational Being’ informed by his book ‘The Science of Possibility: patterns of connected consciousness”. We wholeheartedly recommend this book, it offers a radical perspective that unites science with spiritual experience and provides an explanation of non-ordinary views of reality.

What drew us to Jon and his (in our view) ground-breaking work is our own deeply-felt conviction and felt experience in all our work in Kolimbri that all things are far more connected than we can ever imagine.

Jon and Marco start with one of Kolimbri’s ‘Curiously Connected Cards’ – the animal Cicada, This sets the scene beautifully for an unscripted conversation that covers themes about:

  • ‘Presence’ and the concept of an ‘information field’ that we’re all connected to
  • The incredible possibilities available to us as humans when we (re)learn to relate differently to everything around and within us.
  • The invitation to let go of what we thought was so and accept as Jon says “..that the world is so much more wonderfully “woo woo” than you can possibly imagine..”
  • To focus on our human being-ness as much as our human doing-ness.

The Way We Walk

What if nature was not just a place to visit, but a place to learn?

The Way We Walk is a nature-connected education programme for secondary schools in Leiden. Through outdoor learning, reflection and creativity, young people reconnect with themselves, each other and the living world.

The programme supports wellbeing, resilience, citizenship, sustainability and ecological awareness with nature as a teacher, mirror and compass for growth.

For schools who want to bring learning beyond the classroom and into living connection.

Hologram of an Athlete

On Resilience and Safety

What does a young athlete need in order to truly develop? When does someone feel grounded enough to grow, to learn, and to speak up? And what does a sporting environment require to make that development not only possible, but healthy and sustainable as well?

Digesting the Family Loaf

Imagine a family, a traditional Eastern cultural context, sitting together on the floor in a circle around a simple meal, the centre of which is a round loaf of unleavened flatbread. There is no individual portion, each person tears off pieces from the same loaf.
