Qualities
In Native American traditions, White Buffalo is considered the most sacred of all animals and teaches that all things are connected. Buffalo invites us to cultivate gratitude in our hearts, trusting that when we honour life’s gifts, we open the flow of Abundance, health and lightness. White Buffalo helps us reconnect to our highest path, our true nature and to the sense of the Sacred. It is a grounded, strong and earthy being that can inspire us to protect our family and wider community.
Practices
If the challenges ahead feel insurmountable, take time to reflect on how you can change your approach – something else might be called for. Observe what happens as you cultivate gratitude for the gifts in your life, noticing and giving thanks for each of them, no matter how small: your breath, sleep, a comfortable bed, water, food or friendships that nourish you. Trust that life is benevolent and go about your day as if your thoughts or prayers have already been answered.
